It's midnight, I'm awake, and it's too fucking hot in here.

What are three things that are currently pissing off at the moment, Alex?

I fell asleep too early tonight, I just couldn't keep my eyes open. Hell, I didn't even go to the gym tonight, I fell asleep THAT early....

You would think the rain could gently lull me back to sleep?

Maybe if I hadn't turned the heat up earlier because I was cold it wouldn't be surface of the sun hot in here right now....

So, here I sit, window cracked in my bedroom, waiting for the temp to cool off enough that I can crawl back into bed.

Middle of the night frustrations.

 I had a night like that once, when I was in the Royal Air Force on detached duty on an airfield in Malta. We were working 24 hour shifts, 10am till 10am the next day, just outside the airfield gate there was a small bar / restaurant. We had just left the airfield in a truck for our barracks, when a couple of buddies and I decided on a beer and a bite to eat in the bar, we got the driver to stop at the bar. One beer led to another, we had a meal and then more beer, dusk was falling as we left the bar and made our way to the barracks. Back in my 16 man room, I had a shower and lay down on my bunk for a few minutes. When woke it was pitch black and 2am in the morning, I had slept for 8 hours!
Let me tell you that there is nothing worse, than laying awake for 5 hours in a room with 15 guys snoring and passing wind, waiting for the mess hall to open at 7am for Breakfast

It's thunder storming here right now... Lightning actually woke me up. I would have probably been able to fall back to sleep right away but a loud crack of thunder startled me right after it. That jolted me wide awake...

I have sleep issues.... I wake up in the middle of the night just about every day. It really sucks....

Hopefully you were able to get back to sleep at some point. I'm super thankful that my joint aches and pains are still very minimal.
