A person can dream can't they?

Just got in from a long walk down by a community lake in the beautiful sunlight. Some things really set off my creative thinking and this walk was definitely one of those things. I really love seeing all the wildlife out and about doing there own thing and I just had to stop to imagine what it would be like to be able to do the same.

For me, I would love to live on the outskirts of town on a large track of land where I could have a lake surrounded by thick trees where no one could see me and I would not see them. I would have a pier with a gazebo and a sandy beach on one end of the lake and a small swim to island with two trees and a hammock for when I just wanted to chill. I would decree it a "NO CLOTHES ZONE" and anybody who visited would have to leave their clothes at a storage bend upon entering. For the most part, I would probably be there by myself. I would set up an easel and start painting whatever scene was happening at the moment or some beautiful woman from my imagination.

In addition, I would want to build a waterfall feature on one side with a stone landing not too far away with a picnic table and a fire pit. All of the surrounding area would be filled with wildflowers or annual flowers that keep blooming through the summer. I love vivid colors and I love nature. This place would be very inviting for all kinds of birds, deer and raccoons. And hopefully it would be visited regularly by Great Blue Herons. The one I saw today down by the lake was so majestic when he opened his wings and took flight. Our other big bird in the area is a hawk and he is something to see in action.

So now that you know what I wish I had, would you be one to come visit and kick back with me?

Your wish sounds idyllic and one I'd enjoy visiting.

We have Great Blue Herons here in MI (as well as hawks) I remember being surprised that the herons nest in trees and not along the shore. They look like sentinels, standing next to their nest, hoping to attract a mate.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

I did not realize they flew up high until the other day when one took off, circled the lake and then landed high up in a tree top. He looked so huge up on the dead branch at the top of the tree.

You would be most welcomed to come visit any time.

That is a nice dream to have

The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

Thanks. I have been to one place nearby for a photoshoot and it has always been in the back of my mind. It is a private pond with a cabin on it. I would even settle for it if it ever goes up for sale.

Your slice of paradise sounds idyllic and worthy of a visit! 👍
I've got my own vision of 'ideal' which changes, sometimes daily, but I'm a short walk from a river and a lake where I can sit back and wonder; where would I put that nude beach without a permit.
Yep... sounds like a plan! 👍 😎❗❗

Shame we do not have more options with all the real estate we have here. There should be a skinny dipping area along every river. Bet it would stay busy. Keep dreaming and wondering my friend.

One thing I wish I had on this property would be some kind of water feature. ON the plus side, I don't have near the mosquitoes during the summer as do some of the neighbors that have ponds.

Yeah ponds seem to create more mosquitoes than small lakes, especially if there is a constant water source like a natural underground spring or creek feeding it.

Every time I watch those shows like Insane Pools and shows like that I want to go buy and build something. They are very inspiring, just have to have more money to do it. lol
