He lives with me, he comes to work with me, he goes basically everywhere with me. He wasnt felling well,so I took him to the vet, they did all there test, he has phenomena for the second time with in a year. The first time they said he would;t make it, but $1500 in vet bills, medicine he did pull through. It took a lot out of me seeing him like that, a lot of work get him healthy again. Now he has it again, he seems be worse time.. I will be surprised if he makes it, which is crushing me. He is like my , and has been with me so long, I just cant imagine him gone, I know he's old, and wasnt going live forever, but it dosent make it any easier, especially when just days ago he was just fine, now can barley get up on his own. I hear ya man. Dogs are part of the family. It's never easy when they have medical issues because they rely 100% on us for everything. All the best.

I have a 12 year old retriever, have had her since she was a puppy, traveled with us when my husband was on the road for work, was with us for the 4 year between my late husbands cancer diagnosis and was at his side when he passed, and by my side since his death. I can't even imagine losing her, but yet I think about it constantly now, no person knows me better than her.
I'm sorry.

I 100% agree, about no one knows me better. I just said that exact thing to a friend on Facebook. There is rarely a time he hasn't been with me for a decade now. I can't imagine a day without my best friend.

I understand the connection. I'd try giving the medicine again.

I’m so sorry. I know this pain as I watched my buddy deteriorate. I asked God for a sign. One day he just couldn’t walk. I knew then I needed to say goodbye. I layed head to head with him. Talked to him. He licked my face and let go.

I cry as I write this- I know sweetheart. It hurts💕💕😢

He beat it once, so I was hoping he could do it again, but the medicine, isn't working, and I know it's time. I just hold him, and he loves his car, so I drive him around, taking him to his favorite places over the years. It's the only time he seems a little bit like his old self.

I'm so sorry to hear this... Pets can be even more important than humans for a lot of us. Sometimes all you can do is be there and love them.

Thanks for your comment, and I completely agree with what you said, and today I had to put him down, and I'm just lost without now I don't think its even fully set in yet that I won't ever have him here with me again. It feels like he is just gone for the moment, but any minute now, he will show back up, and things will go back to how they have been for the last decade.

I think I say my dog on here only so other's knew what I was talking about, but he was so much more then that to me. I really can't even describe just how he meant to me. Feel like I just lost my best friend/child, but like you said, I didn't want him to suffer anymore then necessary. I took him in to the vet that day knowing what the vet was going to say, but as his dad I was fighting for him, and any little bit of hope he could pull through still. I really appreciate you taking the time to read, and leave a comment. It feels nice to see others relate, and Its good for me to talk about him.
