"Friends" suggests they are ephemeral, virtual A_F_F friends as opposed to real-time friends . . . so, it's a toss up as to whether you intervene or not.

 A difficult one. If you know one very well and much better than the other one, and you are sure of things, I would suggest intervene. But if not it's often best not to intervene as it can rebound back at you badly.

 I'm a firm believer in sharing knowledge and information. What a person does with the info after that is up to them.
