Incentive to go back to work?? Are you fucking KIDDING me?!? How about we give the actual workers who are working and continue to work the $300 bonus for BEING EMPLOYED! Imagine how many people would suddenly be looking for a job! I'm so disgusted..... It's a sad state of affairs when people are allowed to choose to remain on unemployment until they max out and can collect no more because they make more on unemployment than with an actual job. Even better! Let's give them a BONUS because they were forced to rejoin the workforce! As someone who worked throughout the whole COVID nightmare trying to staff a store and maintain retention, this is just plain wrong. When every single business EVERYWHERE is hiring, there should not be anyone on unemployment. Ugh..... I need to stop watching the news, it only manages to piss me off. Happy Wednesday! |

The Gov of GA pulled the plug on the Special $300 a week and it quits this wek. So maybe we can see the "help wanted" signs disappear, they are every where in Georgia. They wont work because of covic but will not take a free shot to help prevent it.. A burger flipper job is not a job that one should expect excessive pay for, and surely not a career bill paying job.. All jobs should not require a high minimoon.. If you cant make it flipping burgers get another job, go to school in the evenings , put some effort in and get a real good paying job, they are therre but it is not going to be handed to you.. .... Off my soap box and back to the real world..Have a nice day..

It the ew wold order There thing they are special The word need them With out them te world will stop And they want more then they are worth 15.00 per hour to flip a Grease burger and pick up trash off a floor Then price of your food goes up to boot. Any way they are off till September and then let see what happens after that I'm betting biden give they more money to stay home.

Agree Our governer cuts it off July 1. Jobs are there. The moochers need to get to work. The ones who stuck it out should get a nice bonus or generous raise or maybe some extra vacation time added.

Its a sad state of affairs when businesses cant/wont supply workers with a living wage, unfortunately thats what got people to this point. It says something when people make more coin not working as they do when working. People usually work to pay bills and will choose the route that assists them in doing so~~

Many companies are offering bounty/bonuses for new hires, so that suggestion is already in effect. Workers seem to be a bit more choosy after Covid. The government benefits will run out in a matter of weeks. That clock is ticking. Ride it out and you won’t have to hear it anymore. I do hope you’re paying your people enough to live on… blog on!

My Local Dairy Queen still has not re - opened it's Lobby because it can not get enough Staff to handle Drive Thru & Lobby Customers  My Biggest Pet Peeve is the Child Credit and those that receive it per child & I receive BUTT-CUSS because My child is raised & out of the House Most of those folks spend the money on themselves and the KIDS get Jack - Shit or maybe a new toy

We have the furloughed scheme on-going over here in the UK. At present, the Government pays 80% of a furloughed employee’s wages up to a maximum of £2,500 per month with the employer paying National Insurance and pension contributions. It seems fair but no idea how much longer it will be in place.

it is pretty disgusting and pathetic . .it's like rewarding bad behavior. i was considered 'essential' by both my jobs and had to work through it all. and still working my way through it, as my employer still requires masks be worn.

I think those of us who worked our asses off all through the pandemic deserve a bonus for being there, day in and day out. I was even working lots of overtime (until I had to take off for surgery). I could use some bonus money!
